Woven In

I forgot the exact date of when this was taken but I'm pretty sure it was just last week. I think we had a church meeting and went to do a few errands... grocery shopping, i guess. Recently I've been wearing skirts because of the hot weather. I love the top given to me by my mom- she bought it in Davao when she visited my dad there. The belt I'm using is a scarf that has been my fave to use. At the end of this day though, I opted to wear my flip-flops since it's really a hassle driving in heels! LOL

Make-Up Folio

So I mentioned about building my make-up portfolio in this blog entry. I did all the hair and make-up, styling and photography. These are just parts of the 2 photo shoots I did. Tell me what you think. ;)

We tried Tyra Bank's Shadow shoot ;)

I had my shoot with Anne just in our house. I made her sit under the sun, inside the car, stand beside the French window, etc. It was a super fun shoot and she was amazing! It felt like she's been modeling for a long time. I was a little surprised because she was really shy. ;)

One With Nature:

This shoot with Jenny was actually done in a cemetery near our subdivision. It was a little bit windy and sunny at the same time but I enjoyed it. Clearly, she did as well. ;) I especially loved the color palette that I chose for her make up although I wanted her eyes to really sparkle but in the end, it turned out to be good! :)

A Date with my Parents

It's Holy Week! Most vacations usually start by this time but mine's over... :(

Anyway, it's a Tuesday and I usually go with my parents for our Bible Study as we do every Tuesday. I didn't want to go at first because my boyfriend asked me to come with them for his sister's graduation. She's graduating today from Medicine. I ended up attending the bible study then I also went to the graduation. The program was over when I arrived. Boo me. But that would be a different post. ;)

After we had our bible study, my parents and I went to the mall to have our merienda at Green Mango. And here are the pictures of my date with my parents:

Doing what I love: Make-Up

This is a very late post about my venture last February 26. My sister had their College Night and she asked me if I could do her make up, as well as her three friends. I gamely took on the challenge and I realized that it's tiring to do the make-up of four girls, alone! I have since then acquired a new respect for Make-Up artists. I remember I had to fill in as MUA for a photoshoot because they had no MUA that day. I only had to do the make up of 1 model and I was sweating! Since I'm building my portfolio, I do the make-up of my own models at the same time photograph them- a very loooooonnngggggg process! You get lower back pains, as well as pain on the wrist, stiff necks, sweat, etc! But in the end, once you see the final output, you know all of the sweat and pain's worth it- the financial compensation is just a bonus! :)
