"New Baby"

I created this blog to specifically just write about anything I feel like I have an opinion on such as politics, news and issues and even talk about my personal life. That was how it has been and I will keep it that way. I may have incorporated off-topic ramblings and annoying OOTD's but I have always used this blog to speak my mind about my beliefs, give my opinion on things that matter, etc. It doesn't matter if I only have 1 or 4 subscribers or 100. I made this blog without the intention of gaining subscribers. My family doesn't even know I maintain this blog!

I am a very opinionated woman (always has been), and one of my Political Science professor can vouch for that. My views are totally separate from that of my family, although I still uphold the values they taught me which are actually something I give great importance to. I am different than them because I have always been a liberated person- I do not conform to tradition. I have a different understanding of the world than they have. However I'm pretty sure they are aware of that. My actions speak louder than what I tell them. There's this fine line between having a limitation on what you can say in front of your family and what you cannot tell them. Of course, me not being a big fan of censorship, I am finding it difficult to really say what I'm really thinking. In addition, you always have to find an amiable way to say what you want to convey without actually saying what you are thinking because most of the time what you're thinking is inapproriate or rude.

Since I have a  myriad of interests, I have decided to separate them or order them into a group that can project the same outcome and/or theme. Now that is out in the open, I have created a separate blog for "fashion/ beauty" related stuff and I think I mentioned it on my previous posts already. I just thought it would be better to separate the two. On the "beauty blog", I write product reviews, list my favorite items, write on the fashion culture and trends, give tips and tricks, and the like. I have a lot of things in store for that blog as the months go by. So if you are interested on reading that, I would love if you follow or subscribe on that blog. I have a few posts on there but I am promising myself to post often, may be once or twice a week. At the same time, I have also promised myself to write more here. This is my first baby so I have to give it as much effort.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Ellie Goulding, Hope and Closure

Explosions.

"It's okay to be afraid, but it will never be the same."

It baffles me how 1 song can and actually explain the entirety of what I feel. I am never the same, ever. Hope is a killer- it's an opium to the weary and the naïve, the gullible. Hope is a double-edged sword , a relentless reminder of why we have wonderful uncertainties and the reason we fall. As they say, too much of something is not good for you. If that's the case, hope should be banned and/ or should come at a price.

"Your intentions were gold..."

I wished we're all born with signal readers, radars or whatever you might want to call it. We come across different people not knowing the purpose and/or intention why they came or stayed. In the end, we're left wondering how we allowed what shouldn't have happened or blocked out what could've been better for us. We're left with a thirst nothing books, nor songs, nor poetry can quench. We then forget... or so we think, until something or someone reminds of what that felt like and it creates a certain hunger within us. We hunger for answers we actually know; we hunger for explanations that need not be said. We hunger for closure... closure that didn't happen for a reason.

Two Weeks

It has been two weeks since my longtime boyfriend and I got married and it has been a fun and happy experience for us both. We've already moved-in to my own house which my dad bought a few years back and surprisingly we do things together with ease. It's a little bit surprising since we're newlyweds and I think we both expected that we won't be as comfortable as what we are now. Being for almost 8 years before we got married somehow prepared us for this life. I think that's the reason why we're both at ease with our relationship as husband and wife.

Two weeks into married life has made us grateful for what we have and be patient for what we do not have. We live in our house from Monday to Friday and spend the weekends with either his or my parents' house. Since our move, we only got things that were essential to our daily necessities such as food, water, toiletries, appliances (electric fan and single burner electric stove), cooking pans, etc. We got our rice cooker from my cousin who may move in with us, plates and utensils from my mom-in-law and my mom gave us drying rack, bedroom essentials such as curtains, pillows, bed covers, etc. That's literally all we have. The house is still not furnished. I got 2 old couches here at home as well as an air cooler. We don't have tiled floors, built in cabinets, a fridge, TV set, even a dining set (which we are getting soon, thanks to my mom-in-law)! There's a lot of things that we currently do not have but we are just so grateful of this experience. It taught us to be contented and not to whine and ask from our parents, especially me.

It might not be the perfect start for us, but I am so happy that we're in this together. We're taking our time with work, responsibilities and our relationship. I pray to God that He'd make us stronger and happier through the rest of our lives. He's already given me a loving and caring husband and I couldn't be anymore happier.

A New Change

In a few days, my life will drastically change. I cannot just think of myself alone. I have somebody else to consider. I cannot make my own decision because everything should be mutual/conjugal. I have to submit myself to everything... wholeheartedly.

But I am not dreading this change. Scared, a little bit. Things will definitely change. But I am looking forward to my new life. I have been happy for almost 8 years and I am confident that I will still be happy for the rest of my life.

Xx,
L❤
