update? not.

So...

It's been a long time since I last updated this blog.

I'm leaving for Manila later. I'm quite excited actually. I haven't seen PJ in more than two months. It feels like an eternity already. For that two months, I only got to hear his voice but never seen his face since we didn't think of skype! (Crazy, I know.) But a few days ago, I got to see his face... thru skype. HAHA! So I've packed my bag and BIG thanks to my mom, I'm leaving later in the afternoon. Although I'll be staying there for a little less than 5 days, the fact that I get to see him even for a few days is enough for me. I can still come back on my birthday week, if I don't have work. ;) and yeah... I now have a job. LOL

That is it, pansit!

Of Life...

The Shorties

Cousin Dearest <3

I'm pro'lly on Twitter or Facebook here :)

waffles!

waffles!

I went out on a "date" with my cousin earlier today (Wednesday). We usually see each other often and we get to talk about a lot of things. However, work has made her busy and usually too tired to go out so we have to really schedule our "dates". It's nice to talk to someone who's my age and actually understands what I'm going through. She has been my friend since forever! We share the same birth month and year- we're only 23 days apart! :) It was a nice break for me. I have been home for the past few weeks/months with nothing to do except maybe manage my online shop but that's about it. I have never gone out to see friends and what's even surprising is that I don't like to spend time on the mall NOW except when we're doing our grocery shopping. I'd rather be at home, in my bed and procrastinate. That's how boring and pathetic my life is right now. I'm going through something right now and my cousin knows all of this. I'm just thankful that I have someone I can really trust, knows all of my issues and is willing to spend her time with me.

It's funny because looking back, our conversation ranges from school matters to our crushes and heartaches. We thought then that we were old or mature enough to handle "heartaches" and other problems/ issues that we were facing and thought of ourselves as real grown-ups. Now though, there's a BIG change in our conversations: career, marriage, kids... We're actually talking about our FUTURE! I guess we've ALL GROWN-UP.
Thank you, Dayj! <3

Mother and daughter bonding

Style&Co. top| Blacksheep shorts| Havaianas slippers

A closer look at the butterfly earring :)
Today started really sunny and I didn't expect it to rain in the afternoon, more so to go out of the house and go to the mall with my mom. LOL So as lazy as I always am on a rainy day, I just threw on a long sleeved top my aunt gave me and pair it with comfy shorts because I hate getting my jeans wet. I wore slippers because I also do NOT want my shoes to get wet too. My earrings are extra special because I made them! :)

Nowadays, my mom usually is my constant companion. Apart from the fact that I work for her on the weekends, I'm also her 1st helper in anything and her "driver" whenever she goes grocery shopping or just wants to go to the mall to eat or buy her stuff. It's like our bonding session. We get to talk a lot about diverse topics- something we weren't able to do when I was in my "teens". I am happy though that both of us get to have these dates because it's high time that I need her counsel and advice because I'm entering a stage where I am ready to have my own family, work abroad, etc.

How was your day? ;)

not an ordinary Sunday

Today is not my regular Sunday. Well, most of it is the same but the fun I had wasn't. After church service, we stayed for a long while and I don't know how my mind was so in sync with my sister's that we were very spontaneous the whole afternoon. We spent our time with the kids, a couple of 'em were our nieces.

Nieces Star and Shine, my sis Dordz and Riezelle

Star is such a comedienne! :)

HAHA!

Had loads of fun with them. We had games, Q&A about senseless stuff (LOL), and had the kids do a catwalk! :D I would love to share the video so you could see how crazy we were but my sister will kill me! HAHA.

Now for my outfit: :D

Old Navy pearl earrings| GORGEOUS white & black flower  rings| pearl pendant made by my mom :)

Tomato floral top| Forever 21 striped skirt| Longchamp bag| SO F.A.B.! 5" wooden platforms

My lookbook title for this is "subtle clash of prints" primarily because I wore a floral top over a striped skirt and subtle because both prints aren't overpowering each other. :) I just paired my outfit with matching shoes and accessories, and red belt and bag for a pop of color! :)

DOWNTOWN

Today, PJ and I went downtown to look for supplies for my online accessories shop. It was really hot and I loved it. We just parked the car at a mall and made our way to what we call here in Iloilo "downtown", on foot. These days, our couple time is either we're watching a movie, going for a little run/jog or walking the streets of Downtown Iloilo to find supplies for my shop. Unfortunately though, there were no available items of what I specifically need. However, I really enjoy spending my time with him and I love that he's so supportive of what I do. I find it the cutest when we both synchronize our errands, especially bank errands so we could meet at the bank and do other errands while enjoying our time together! :)

Since it was hot during the day, I decided to wear my trusty white breathable blouse and denim shorts. I was actually feeling kind-of lazy so I just put on a nice pair of earrings, a couple of handmade bracelet and watch, wore flats since we walked all day and a mailman bag. :D

So, I just had to pose at the walkway... hehe.. I like my background! (BIASED) ;P

HARD CANDY

It has almost been a month since my last post.  I have been very busy lately with work, errands at home and my new-found hobby cum business. Lately I've been staying up later than usual jut to make more and more items and also because I have orders already lined up for this month. I started this venture late last year but I wasn't able to market them well because I was so caught up with the Holidays and finding another job. The only thing I put up though, was its facebook page and I've only updated a few months back. I'm so happy right now with the support my friends and family are giving me. My sales are just going up and now, I have people interested in reselling my items and ordering in bulk. :) I am so H-A-P-P-Y! ...and BUSY! LOL

Anyway, here are a few  snapshots of what I'm currently busy with: HANDMADE ACCESSORIES!

If you click through the link above, you'll be able to see all accessories I've made so far. It's a new found hobby although arts and crafts has been passed on to us from my grandmother then to my mom then to me and my sister. Forgive my last 3 photos as they show you my messy work station! :)

Contact me on facebook if you want to buy or order these items! ;)

Polish Files

One day, a passing idea came into mind: Pam Pastor's blog, www.polishpolice.com. I saw an article about her on Preview magazine, which I buy every month. So while I was on my iPad one day, I though of visiting her blog and whoah! I was surprised and felt a little sensation. I was in polish heaven! Although I have to admit that most of the polishes she uses are expensive for me, I still think that it's nice that she does try nail polishes that aren't too expensive and locally made.

Most of the time I do my mani-pedi because I save money that way and I don't like the way nail technicians of some salons work that eventually gets my toes bleeding and in the end I develop an ingrown. Besides, I do my nails perfectly well- even better than when I have it done in the salon athough I take my time when I do.

SO here are a couple of photos of my nails which I did on my own. Enjoy! Will do another post on this. :)o

A few days ago I had  an interview and my nail polish was too girly and not interview-friendly so I opted for something that will not grab the attention of my "future bosses". :)

Etude House nail polish. A light brown shade with a touch of pink  and purple.

This was my nail polish before I had my interview. Glossy Pink from local brand Bobbie with A hint of Baby Blue from Etude House.

My Win Off A Bet

Every NBA Season every year, my boyfriend and I always have bets on who would win the Championship. My boyfriend is a bigtime Laker fan. Me, on the other hand, do not have a specific team that I like so much. My preference depends on which team is playing well during the season or before the playoffs. This time, my bets were on the Chicago Bulls for obvious reasons: D-Rose, #1 on the East and #1 overall. However, as bad luck would have it, they didn't make it to the finals. I had my sights on Dallas Mavericks. Meanwhile, my boyfriend had his eyes on Miami next to the Lakers.

As you all know, the Lakers didn't even make it to the finals. So it was Miami-Dallas, just like in 2006. People called it the rematch, revenge on the Dallas side, and some predicted a repeat from Miami. My boyfriend decided on Miami and I went to bet on Dallas. Our bets before were usually dates (food, movie, etc) and a very rare Havaianas bet (which I won). This time, our bet was a lunch date worth 500 pesos. Hahahaha! My choice was a date in Sbarro and his choice was a lunch date in KFC.

It's actually quite funny if you think about it. Even if one of us wins, we both still get to eat! Hahaha! But this is one thing that we both enjoy. Physically, people will never see me as a sports fan but I really am. I do enjoy watching basketball, soccer/football, volleyball, table tennis, etc. I used to swim and play table tennis and my boyfriend is an all-around sports "enthusiast" and a former varsity player (basketball) hence our excitement every time it's NBA season. :)

Anyway, here are the few photos I snapped!

The real Father's Day

It's a Sunday once again. Apparently, today's the real father's day and not last Sunday, which I thought was- hence this blog entry. lol My family doesn't usually spend Father's Day with my Dad because he's away most of the time for work. My dad's a seaman so most of the time, he's out there conquering the ocean. :) I love my dad and we always get to have our bonding sessions- just me and him whenever he's home. If you look at it, of the 24 years my mom and dad have been a married couple, their time spent physically together is even less than 10 years! The most vacation my dad gets nowadays is 1-2 months. There were times he was here for just about a month, or less than a month. I don't like for us to be apart most of the time but that's how my dad earns a living for us and soon enough, I'll be able to understand that. (That's a little off topic. LOL)

Anyway, Happy Father's Day to your dads! <3

Here are the pictures of what this day was like for me and my family:

Woven In

I forgot the exact date of when this was taken but I'm pretty sure it was just last week. I think we had a church meeting and went to do a few errands... grocery shopping, i guess. Recently I've been wearing skirts because of the hot weather. I love the top given to me by my mom- she bought it in Davao when she visited my dad there. The belt I'm using is a scarf that has been my fave to use. At the end of this day though, I opted to wear my flip-flops since it's really a hassle driving in heels! LOL

top: gift from my mom/skirt: SM/bag: Cherokee/ wedges: So FAB!

Love this back detail

If you notice though, the bag, shoes and my top have one thing in common: they all have woven-in designs.

Happy Father's Day!

Another Sunday post...

As usual, my family and I would go to the house church that my mom founded and head out to lunch/dinner after since we end our service late most of the time. Today's weather is really hot and I didn't feel like wearing jeans even if I wanted to. I opted to wear a skirt that my boyfriend gave me (thanks for the Forever 21 goodies, love! <3) so I can move freely and not feel icky and sweaty. ;) After our church service, we had our super late lunch/early dinner at Red Ribbon.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

 Now on to our lunch/dinner:

P.S.
Happy Father's Day to my dad who's not here physically. I know you have to be away so you could provide us with the best. Thank you for everything. We love you, Papa! <3
